What’s DMCA?
The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) allows copyright owners to quickly remove unauthorized copies of their work from the internet without expensive litigation.
Chaturbate fully complies with the DMCA as a registered “service provider.” Per our Terms & Conditions, users may only upload content they own or have the right to distribute. Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we promptly remove infringing content from our platform.
We also support Chaturbate broadcasters by sending DMCA notices to other platforms hosting unauthorized copies of their Chaturbate content.
Help! Someone Is Stealing My Chaturbate Content!
If a site is illegally recording and republishing your broadcasts without your consent, it is a violation of your rights. To help protect your content, Chaturbate offers a free DMCA notice service to assist broadcasters with content removal.
Since Chaturbate does not claim ownership of your shows—they are entirely your property—you are the only one who can pursue legal claims against third-party sites.
While we are happy to assist with takedown requests, we recommend that you first try submitting a DMCA report directly to the third-party sites hosting your stolen content. Most of these sites have DMCA takedown request forms at the bottom of their homepage where you can submit a copyright removal request.
Let us know if you need further assistance!
DMCA Takedown Request Form
We’re happy to assist with DMCA takedown notices for any of your content that has been used without your permission.
To ensure a smooth process, please double-check that your contact email and Chaturbate username are accurate and provide complete links to all infringing content.
Important Submission Guidelines:
✅ Submit exact URLs for each photo or video that was stolen (not search result pages). [Instructions here]
✅ Ensure the links directly reference your Chaturbate broadcasts and not unrelated content.
✅ Complete the form, check the accuracy box, e-sign, and hit submit.
Once submitted, our DMCA team will review and respond as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please reach out to Support.
My content is being used on another site
Copyright violations happen frequently online, and we understand that seeing your content posted without consent is a serious privacy concern.
If you find your videos or photos on another website, please submit a DMCA takedown request [here].
Submission Guidelines:
✅ Provide direct URLs to the infringing content (not search pages).
✅ Ensure the URL displays the actual video or image you want removed.
How to Copy the Correct URL:
For Videos:
1. Right-click on the video.
2. Select “Copy video URL.”
3. Paste the video URL onto your list.
For Photos:
1. Right-click on the photo.
2. Select “Copy image address” (not “Copy image link”).
3. Paste the image address onto your list.
Once you have the correct URLs, submit them through our DMCA Takedown Request Form.
Affiliate Sites
Chaturbate works with a network of third-party marketing affiliate sites that syndicate live broadcasts in real time (not recordings) to promote Chaturbate and increase visibility for broadcasters.
If you’ve opted into affiliate sharing, these sites will only display your live broadcasts and images through Chaturbate’s affiliate API.
What Does This Mean for You?
✅ Your image may appear on external sites that market Chaturbate rooms.
✅ Affiliate sharing helps drive more traffic to your cam.
✅ All Chaturbate accounts are automatically opted in to affiliate sharing.
Opting Out of Affiliate Sharing
If you do not want your content shared with affiliate sites, you can opt out by:
1. Going to the “Settings & Privacy” tab in your profile.
2. Changing the “Appear on network sites” setting to “NO”.
Once opted out, your live stream will no longer be available for syndication. However, this may result in less traffic to your room.
Reporting Unauthorized Use
If you find an affiliate site storing images of your broadcast more than 24 hours after your last stream, please submit the direct URLs through our DMCA Takedown Request Form.
Additionally, if an affiliate site includes personal references to your broadcaster profile that you want removed, you can also submit those direct URLs via the DMCA Takedown Request Form.
Additional DMCA Information
While we are often successful in getting content removed, some sites may ignore our takedown requests and continue publishing the content. In these cases, you—as the copyright owner—are the only party with the legal right to take further action.
If you choose to pursue additional action against these sites, please let us know if we can provide any information to support your efforts.
