ChaturSafe is a chat moderation tool that automatically monitors chat messages in real time, detecting potentially harmful or inappropriate content. This feature was developed to help keep users safe and was shaped directly by creator feedback to support the level of respect and behavior you expect in your chatroom.
With ChaturSafe, you can enable specific filters and choose your preferred strictness level: Low, Medium, High, or Custom for more granular control. Available filter topics include religion, politics, hostile language, sensitive topics, and violent threats.
When a message is blocked, the sender receives a private notice explaining that their message was not delivered, along with the reason for the rejection. In the upper right corner of your chat, you’ll see a ChaturSafe badge indicator showing that a message has been filtered. You can also access a log of filtered messages, where you’ll have the opportunity to provide feedback on whether the moderation decision was accurate. This feedback can help you fine-tune your settings if adjustments are needed.
In addition to customizable filters, platform-level Trust & Safety filtering is enabled in all rooms by default. This system automatically screens messages for harmful, illegal, or policy-violating content in accordance with platform guidelines. This protection cannot be disabled. When a message is filtered under these rules, the user will receive a notification informing them that their message was blocked.

Does ChaturSafe only work in public chat? What about direct messages, private messages, and tip notes?
The current version of ChaturSafe only applies to public chats. In the future, ChaturSafe’s functionality should be available for PMs/DMs and tip notes.
What is Trust & Safety?
All messages are automatically screened by the “Trust & Safety” filtering for harmful, illegal, or inappropriate content in accordance with platform policies. This filtering is by default and cannot be disabled by the creator.
Will I be banned if ChaturSafe keeps blocking my messages?
ChaturSafe may block messages that either violate the Code of Conduct or the individual broadcaster’s moderation preferences. Please ensure you are familiar with and abide by the Code of Conduct, as violating these rules may lead to termination from the platform.
How do I enable ChaturSafe?
ChaturSafe is now live and you will see it in your chat settings. Click the gear icon to access your chat settings and toggle on ChaturSafe. Please note that Trust and Safety filters are always enabled and cannot be disabled.
How can I edit my ChaturSafe filters?
Go to “Advanced filter settings” to see and modify all filter categories.
Where can I view which messages were filtered?
You will see a ChaturSafe badge in the upper right corner of your chat when a message is blocked, or you go to the “Blocked message log” in your chat settings.
How can I add someone to my Trusted Viewer list?
Navigate to the Trusted Viewers List section in your ChaturSafe Dashboard and enter the username you wish to exempt. You can add or remove users and update your configuration preferences at any time for immediate effect.
